Property Oversight Questions

When would I need Sentinel?

You may need Sentinel when something is happening at your property and you cannot be there to see it yourself. This may include contractor work, vendor access, scheduled deliveries, storm concerns, routine property checks, community access rules, or a situation where you need clear photos and notes before making a decision.

What problem does Sentinel solve?

Sentinel helps close the gap between what is happening on site and what the owner actually knows. We provide a trusted presence, document visible conditions, manage approved access, and send clear updates so owners can make decisions with better information.

What does Sentinel check during a property watch visit?

A property watch visit focuses on visible property conditions and agreed areas of concern. This may include entry points, exterior areas, doors, garages, pool or landscape concerns, signs of leaks, storm impact, deliveries, unusual conditions, and anything included in the approved visit scope.

Can Sentinel hold keys or access instructions?

Yes, when arranged with the owner. Key and access handling is set up based on the property, the owner's instructions, and the level of access needed. This provides a more professional alternative to hidden keys or informal arrangements.

Can Sentinel meet someone at my property when I am not there?

Yes. Sentinel can meet approved vendors, contractors, delivery teams, guests, estate staff, or service providers when authorized by the owner. We can provide access, document arrival, remain on site when needed, and confirm the property is secured afterward.

Can Sentinel check contractor progress before I approve a payment?

Yes. Sentinel can document visible progress, active work areas, workforce presence, materials on site, unfinished items, and general site conditions. This gives the owner better information before approving payment or responding to contractor updates.

Can Sentinel monitor a renovation for me?

Sentinel can provide scheduled site visits during renovation activity to document visible progress, contractor presence, access concerns, materials, deliveries, site conditions, and items that may need owner attention.

Can Sentinel accept a delivery for me?

Yes, when scheduled and approved in advance. Sentinel can provide access for delivery teams, document the delivery condition or placement, and confirm the property is secured afterward.

Can Sentinel handle small approved tasks during a visit?

Yes. Within approved scope, Sentinel may handle minor on-site actions such as bringing in packages or deliveries, moving boxes to a garage or interior location, taking trash and recycling bins to and from the curb, picking up flyers or door hangers, rotating lights or adjusting timers, checking thermostat settings, watering a small number of plants when requested, and securing doors, gates, or windows. Sentinel does not perform repairs, maintenance, or contractor work.

Can Sentinel help before a storm?

Yes, when scheduled in advance. Sentinel may assist with approved pre-storm preparation such as bringing in patio furniture, umbrellas, planters, grills, and loose exterior items, securing pool area objects, moving approved belongings to safer interior areas, relocating vehicles when authorized, closing and latching accessible shutters or storm panels, checking that doors, gates, and windows are secured, clearing small debris from walkways and drains, and photographing pre-storm property condition for the owner's records.

What kind of pre-storm labor can Sentinel actually perform on site?

Within approved scope, Sentinel can physically move patio furniture, cushions, umbrellas, planters, grills, pool floats, decorative items, trash bins, and other loose exterior objects into garages, sheds, or covered areas. We can also relocate approved interior items away from windows or low areas, secure outdoor equipment, and handle other minor hands-on preparation tasks the owner authorizes. We do not install shutters, perform structural work, or operate heavy equipment.

What do I receive after a visit?

Depending on the service requested, the owner may receive a visit summary, time-stamped photos, optional video walkthrough, entry and lock-up confirmation, vendor or visitor notes, delivery status, visible concerns, minor approved action notes, and recommended next steps.

How does Sentinel protect owner privacy?

Sentinel is built around discretion, professional access handling, and clear owner communication. Visits are limited to the approved scope, and documentation is focused on the property areas, access needs, or site activity requested by the owner.

Is Sentinel a property management company?

No. Sentinel does not manage tenants, leases, rent, maintenance programs, or ongoing property operations. Sentinel provides owner-side visibility, access support, documentation, and reporting.

Does Sentinel perform repairs or maintenance?

No. Sentinel does not perform repairs, maintenance, construction work, contractor services, or repair coordination. Our role is on-site presence, access support, observation, documentation, and owner reporting.

Is Sentinel insured and bonded?
